Let’s talk about your garage—it’s often the most cluttered part of a home and can be transformed into a functional, organized space. Shelving and storage solutions can make a world of difference, especially if you’re highlighting the benefits of reclaiming that space. This blog post is also the first of many introducing product recommendations to help get that amazing garage organization.

  • Look for heavy-duty metal or resin shelving that can hold a lot of weight.
  • Highlight adjustable shelves for customizable storage.

2. Wall-Mounted Storage Systems

  • A UCLA study of 32 Los Angeles-area families found that 75% didn’t use their garages for parking.
  • 27% of people use the garage for hobbies. Others use it to work on cars (23%), do projects such as woodworking or carpentry (19%), or as an area for exercise or sports (13%).
  • There are about 82 million homes with a garage in America. That’s enough garages to provide shelter for every car made worldwide in 2013.
  • Environment Protection Agency (EPA) found that vehicles sit parked 95% of the time. These include being parked in a garage.
